Zombie Frappuccino Fails to Impress

Starbucks’ new Zombie Frappuccino is drop dead disgusting.

Green apple, chocolate mocha and raspberry are the three main flavors that make up the Zombie Frappuccino.

With a raspberry pink whipped cream brain atop a toxic green apple frappuccino and mocha blood syrup dripping down the cup, Starbucks’ eerie Zombie frappuccino screams Halloween. There is no doubt that this is one of the most festive and spookiest looking drinks on the menu, but it is also the most disgusting drink Starbucks has ever released.

Following the pandemonium of the Unicorn Frappuccino, it was just a waiting game until Starbucks came out with another limited time frappuccino. Instead of having the Unicorn’s bright, playful colors, the newest addition to the menu is much darker and is definitely less palatable in its taste.

The flavor of the frappuccino is more comparable to a green apple slushie from Quiktrip than a standard menu frappuccino. The fake green apple flavoring is a distasteful combination with mocha syrup and raspberry whipped cream.

The only redeeming quality of the drink is the creepy aesthetic of a zombie brain and blood. No one should buy this drink other than to post it on Instagram or Snapchat and then immediately throw it away. Thankfully, the Zombie frappuccino won’t be here for long since Halloween is the last day that the drink will be on the menu.

Taking into consideration the expensive price of $5.45 for a grande and the less than pleasant feeling after drinking 54 grams of sugar, this limited drink should not be on any list of autumn must-haves. Make sure to stick with old reliables like Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Peppermint Mochas when going to Starbucks this fall.
