Micheal B. Jordan is said to star alongside Tessa Thompson and Jonathan Majors, in his first movie as a  director. The long-awaited third movie of the “Creed” series is hitting theaters on March 3. The film follows Adonis Creed (Jordan) as he faces off against a childhood friend Damian Anderson(Majors), who was recently released from prison and believes he deserves a shot in the boxing ring.

The eleventh film in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, “Fast X”,  is set to release on May 19. The sequel to “F9” stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Cardi B, Rita Moreno, and more. “Fast X” is the fifth most expensive film ever made, with an estimated production budget of $340 million. “Fast X” will be the second to last film in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.

Taking a step into the past, the “Transformers” franchise is taking viewers to the mid-’90s in their new film, “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts”. The film follows two archaeologists who find three transformers in a conflict. This movie stars Peter Collen in his role of Optimus Prime, as well as other stars such as Anthony Ramos and Luna Lauren Velez. “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts”  will be in theaters starting June 9.

Greta Gerwig‘s highly anticipated movie “Barbie” will hit the theaters on July 21. The modern adaptation of the beloved Mattel icon stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling . The movie follows Barbie (Robbie) after she is kicked out of  her hometown of Barbieland for not being a perfect doll and ventures out to the human world to find true happiness.

Xolo Maridueña, star of the hit series “Cobra Kai”, is set to star in the film “Blue Beetle” alongside George Lopez, and Bruna Marquezine. This movie is very important to the DC Universe as it’s the first movie in the DC Extended Universe to have the headline lead be Latino. The character of Jamie Reyes is a key factor for most of the stories in DC because Reyes is caught in the middle of an alien invasion which could lead to another invasion. This next possible invasion could lead to the “Green Lantern Corps.”, “Peacemaker”, the “Teen Titans”, “Batman” and others come together to solve the problem, making this movie a key to the release of future movies. This film will be released on August 18, in theaters near you.

Stars Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet will be starring in the sequel to “Dune” reprising their roles as Chani and Paul Atreides. This adaptation is based on the 1965 novel “Dune” by Frank Herbert. The “Dune: Part Two”  movie will be opening on November 3, 2023. There isn’t much information about the plot, but “Dune: Part 2” is highly anticipated by fans.

The live-action remake of the classic Disney movie, “The Little Mermaid” will hit the theaters on May 26.  The film stars Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy. This movie sparked controversy when it was first announced about who would play Ariel. Some people were upset that it was Bailey and not someone else.

The origin story of Willy Wonka stars Timothée Chalamet. It follows Wonka as he comes across the Oompa Loompas and begins his journey as a chocolatier. This movie is set to release on December 15 and is directed by Paul King, the director of two highly successful Paddington films.
