The Memories Left Behind

Bob Saget’s memory lives today through his many castmates.

Many teenagers recall sitting on their couch watching Full House on Nick at Nite. Bob Saget was starring in the show known as the lovable dad, Danny Tanner. 

 

Bob Saget was found dead in his hotel room on January 9. He was on a comedy tour in Orange County, Florida. He was on his current tour, “I Don’t Do Negative.” He was touring around the United States.

 

This news has saddened many in the US, as they grew up watching Full House. Full House ran from September 1987 to May 1995. It had gained 24.3 million viewers for the finale. This series was Saget’s claim to fame and many grew up with him as Danny Tanner.

 

 

Many of his castmates from the show have responded to the news of Saget’s death. John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse in Full House, even changed his Twitter profile picture to be a photo of himself with Saget.

“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete shock. I will never ever have a friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” Stamos said in his tweet.

Another role that Saget played was the narrator in “How I Met Your Mother.” The narrator was an older version of Ted Mosby. Josh Radnor, who played younger Mosby, thought of Saget as a role model. He posted several tweets describing how Saget made him feel at home on set.

 

“Bob Saget was the older wiser “me” for nine years on “How I Met Your Mother.” He was the kindest, loveliest, funniest, most supportive man,” Radnor said. “The easiest person to be around.”

 

All of the castmates that have shared their positive memories with Saget. Saget not only left a positive impact on his castmates, but he left a positive impact on all of us.
