Some people believe in the twelve signs of the Zodiac. They are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Pisces, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius. Each sign carries out a different horoscope, or prediction, for those who fall in their months’ slot based on birthdays. Hocus pocus or not, many believe in what their stars have to say. Some people even believe these horoscopes catch their personalities spot-on and basically describe them.
“I’m a Leo and I fit everything,” junior Mattie Carter said. “The creepy thing is that Leos are prone to problems with blood and I have a bleeding disorder.”
Ironic, right? Maybe not. These astrological traits have given very few people the idea that they are a myth or that it’s only in their heads. Although junior Maggie Nelson said that she doesn’t want her horoscope to be forced to come true so she takes another route.
“I try not to read them until the end of the day because I feel like I’ll try to make them happen if I read it before,” Nelson said.
The believability of the various horoscopes depends on how much a person checks them. Nelson said that she believes they are accurate sometimes and other times not. It just depends. Junior Jasmyne Roth thinks differently.
“Everytime I read mine I feel they are almost always accurate,” Roth said. “It’s quite strange actually.”
According to Prophet Angel from keen.com people always make fun of the daily horoscope but in general everybody wants to know about the accuracy of them.
Junior Neda Awad admitted to checking her horoscopes, but didn’t sound too proud of it, “#guilty.”
Prophet Angel said the best thing to do is to follow it regularly for a few days to check it out for yourself. It is important to know that horoscopes should only be read to get general. There are thousands of other people under one single sign and everybody will face the same situation.
These horoscopes are available in every newspaper today. Even though there are doubts on the accuracy at times, some people still follow their horoscopes. Maybe just for the fun of it.
