A run down on the newest iPhones released this year.
It’s out with the old and in with the new in the tech world as Apple released two new iPhone models Sept. 21. The iPhone XS and XS Max are available for purchase now while the iPhone XR will not be released until later this month.
Following last year’s iPhone X and its lack of a physical home button, all three of the new models sport a full front screen as well. The XS and XS Max models are available in three colors: silver, space gray and gold. The XR will have a wider variety of colors with options such as blue, yellow, coral, red, black and white.
Instagrammers and Snapchatters alike will not be disappointed with the camera quality featured in these new models. All three of the new iPhones have 12 megapixel rear facing cameras as well as seven megapixel front facing cameras. Don’t worry about storing all the photos on these devices because storage ranges from 64GB to 512GB on the XS and XS Max while the XR will range from 64GB to 256GB.
There are several similarities between these models; however, not everything is equal. The iPhone XS Max has the largest display with its 6.5 inch Super Retina HD display. The iPhone XS is smaller with a 5.8 inch Super Retina HD display, and the iPhone XR will fall between the middle of all three with its 6.1 inch Liquid Retina HD display, which has higher quality pixels to create a paper-like screen effect, according to PC World.
The features and abilities of the new iPhones are reflected in the price, so be prepared to pay a hefty amount for these devices. The XS model starts at $999 and the XS Max has a base price of $1099. The XR model is more affordable starting at $749.
