Array, the Quick Shoppers Paradise
Carrying items from 11 different boutiques, the new store on the Plaza, Array, brings a fresh new twist to shopping.
Walking down the Plaza streets there is a familiar feeling from the various shops, restaurants and work out places scattered among the storefronts, but a new wave of shops are sprouting around the city. One of them, Array… a Collection of Shops, opened on the Plaza Oct. 12.
Located on West 47th Street next door to Shake Shack this store is a complete star. The concept is original within the fashion world, but similar to food court ideas. Array offers over 11 different ‘stores’ placed throughout in separate sections. Each boutique has its own brands and various offerings, making it the perfect place to shop.
Whether it is a family or a group of friends with exceedingly different tastes in clothes, this arrangement is ideal. The current boutiques are Knitted Belle, Amelia’s, Fortuity, TeaElla, Anchora Bella, Eccentricity, Brooke and Sloane, Camp David Store, Sunkissed Earth and Midcoast Modern, all with different styles, color palettes, price ranges and items.
Stores such as Fortuity offer various items that are catered to the older teen or early twenties girl. The style is more modern with their approach to clothes more free-flowing items that are cute with a casual twist.
TeaElla, Knitted Belle, Amelia’s, Eccentricity, Brooke and Sloane offer some pieces teenagers may find dated, but after a second look, it is easy to find timeless pieces. These stores have clothes that will always look good, will always match and will always be in style.
Only one boutique offers men’s clothes, Camp David, and even so, there is a limited collection. It offers grungy pieces, but also ones that represent Kansas City and show off pride for our city.
Sunkissed Jewelry and Midcoast Modern offer various trinkets such as cups, silly little notebooks, jewelry or candles. The store, aptly named Array, offers more than simply clothes. It has various trinkets, smaller household items and shoes. It is the perfect one-stop shop for whatever one may be searching for.
Overall, the store is absolutely perfect. Just a short 15 minutes in Array gives the equivalent of hitting 11 shops. It is perfect for seasonal shopping, Christmas shopping, or looking for people with various styles.
Out of all the stores on the Plaza, do not walk past this one. It is worth even just a five-minute pop in. The best part of boutiques is finding that one unique item impossible to find anywhere else, at Array there are 11 opportunities to find that perfect item.
