Country music artist Shania Twain paid homage to her 1998 music video for “That Don’t Impress Me Much” in a custom Rodarte gown at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.

The 2022 People’s Choice Awards were held on Dec. 6 at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California. The event was attended by many A list celebrities and besides the awards, the biggest anticipation of the night was the red carpet looks. Some stars knocked it out of the park with their outfit choices, while others might need to find a new stylist. Here are my picks for the best and worst dressed celebrities at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.

The Best Dressed

Ellen Pompeo

Ellen Pompeo not only won the 2022 People’s Choice Awards Female TV Star of The Year, but also the award of best dressed for her disco inspired outfit. Pompeo pulled up to the red carpet in a sparkly striped jumpsuit that featured a subtle nod to the ‘60s with sleeve length slits. The Grey’s Anatomy star finished the look with a pair of blue heels, pulling color from her bedazzled look.

Donna Farizan

Classy and elegant, that’s what I like to see. Donna Farizan wore a sleeveless form fitting black dress with a matching black neck tie. The Today Show contributor finished off her timeless red carpet look with stunning jewelry that included a large gold ring with a green stone.

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez looked like an angel in her People’s Choice Awards look. The Loot actress wore a white flowy gown, with billowy sleeves and rhinestone accents from Giambattistata Valli. The motion of the dress gave Rodriguez an effortless yet luxurious look that stunned the red carpet.

Noah Schnapp

Noah Schnapp opted for classy with a bit of fun for his People’s Choice Awards look. The Stranger Things star wore a custom Fendi outfit composed of a white turtleneck with a double breasted navy blue suit. Schnapp completed his look with a small bag in a lighter shade of navy.

Anna Sitar

TikToker Anna Sitar walked the PCAs carpet in a stunning two piece set. The all black ensemble by Carolina Herrera consisted of a floral embellished crop top and a mini skirt with a long tulle train attached. Sitar’s look was completed with a sleek hairstyle and tear drop diamond earrings, a perfect mix of eye-catching and classy.

The Worst Dressed

Shania Twain

Man! What was Shania wearing? Shania Twain paid homage to her 1998 music video “That Don’t Impress Me Much” with her People’s Choice Awards look. The “Still The One” singer wore a custom sheer Rodarte gown with leopard printed layers. To add even more surprise to the look, Twain’s hair was cotton candy pink.

Billy Porter

Billy Porter’s People’s Choice Awards look was anything but ordinary. The Emmy award winner showed up to the carpet in an oversized Ronald Van Der Kemp jacket with ruffles that resembled seaweed. Porter finished his look with a diamond choker and a dramatic black eyeshadow makeup look

Amanza Smith

I wouldn’t want to run into Amanza Smith in an alleyway. The Selling Sunset star wore a form fitting leather dress with ruffled detailing starting at the hips and continuing through the skirt. Smith continued the edgy look with a spiky updo, skull clutch, and black fingerless leather gloves.

Esther Povtisky

Bland and boring, that’s what I’ve got to say. Esther Potvisky’s People’s Choice Awards look was a major flop. The iCarly actress walked the carpet in a simple black midi dress with patterned white tights underneath. To add to the boringness, Potvisky opted for flats that resembled pointe shoes more than an appropriate red carpet shoe choice.

Olivia Wilde

While Olivia Wilde’s People’s Choice Awards look is being dubbed as her “revenge dress”, it’s quite the letdown compared to Princess Diana’s iconic look. The Don’t Worry Darling director wore a see through lace Christian Dior dress for her red carpet look. Wilde’s dress was cinched in at the waist with an oversized belt and finished her look with heavy eyeliner.
