The 95th Oscar Awards brought iconic fashion moments and some questionable fashion moments.

The 95th Oscar Awards were held on Sun. March 12 in Los Angeles, Ca.. Prior to the big show, many of the biggest names in the film industry and Hollywood walked the red carpet, well champagne carpet to be exact. As usual there were some moments of amazing fashion and some questionable outfit choices. Here are the best and worst dressed from the 2023 Oscars.

Cara Delevingne went bold and beautiful for her Oscars red carpet look. The model wore a dramatic red dress from Elie Saab that featured a thigh high slit and a voluminous red bow at the shoulder. Delevigne’s dress also had a ruching at the bustier that was continued in the midsection of the dress. Her look was finished with jewelry from BVLGARI and Stuart Witseman shoes.

For her Oscars look, Hong Chau pulled inspiration from her Vietnamese heritage and past Prada collections. Chau’s outfit was a floor length cylindrical gown with a collar neckline in a baby pink. The collar neckline featured a small slit, which was added by Chau, most likely referencing the traditional Vietnamese dress, the Áo dài. The dress also featured a train of black shiny plastic pieces layered to look like feathers referencing Prada’s Fall 2007 collection which featured the same black plastic elements. Chau finished her look with teardrop diamond earrings.

Best Actress winner Michelle Yeoh went with an ethereal look for her big night. The actress wore a white dress covered in layered feathers from Dior Haute Couture. The white dress also featured an illusion neckline made of white mesh that went up to the base of Yeoh’s neck. Yeoh’s dress was accented by a pair of dangling earrings and a diamond headpiece. 

Sandra Oh In Giambattista Valli Haute Couture 


Sandra Oh stunned the Oscars red carpet in a beautiful tangerine colored gown. The dress from Giambattista Valli Haute Couture had a beautiful ruching pattern that was carried all throughout the dress. Oh’s dress also featured a flowy cape-like sleeve that extended to her elbows. Oh’s look was completed by a beautiful gold necklace with a red stone in the center of the pendant.

Florence Pugh wore a piece from the most recent Valentino Haute Couture collection. The statement of Pugh’s look was a cape-bustier top that flowed to the floor. The top also featured puffed sleeves that hung at the middle of Pugh’s upper arm. Pugh completed her look with a modernly curved Tiffany & Co. necklace and some plain black platform heels. 

Michelle Williams In Chanel 


Michelle Williams looked like an angel in her look for the 2023 Oscars. Williams was dressed in a white cylindrical Chanel gown featuring silver sequin embroidery at the top. The dress also featured a cape that was embellished with silver crystals that gave Williams’ look an angelic and effortless feel. Williams’ look was finished with a simple silver choker and a bold red lip.

Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Teller stepped out on the Oscars red carpet in a Celine ensemble that perfectly complemented the other’s look. Teller wore a classic black suit and Keleigh wore a stunning silver strapless dress with two tie accents on the front. Keleigh finished her look with a bold red lip and matching silver heels.

Vanessa Hudgens went the classy route for her Oscars look. The actress wore a black pencil Chanel gown with white accents on the top and bottom hems of the dress. She completed her look with a slicked back bun and a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond necklace. 

Allison Williams In Giambattista Valli Haute Couture


Pink was the name of the game for Allison Willaims’ 2023 Oscars look. The actress wore a nude colored dress with baby pink floral embroidery from Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. To add even more drama, the dress featured a long pink train that attached to the dress at Willaims’ elbows and draped down her back. The dress also had a white feather trim at the bottom. Williams’ look was finished with jewelry from Fred Leighton.

“Top Gun: Maverick” actress Monica Barbaro walked the Oscars red carpet in a stunning Elie Saab gown. The base of the dress was a sheer turquoise blue with a light ruching to it and a plunging v neckline. Overtop of the base was a wine red velvet overskirt that connected to the dress at Barbaro’s waist with a small bow. Barbaro finished off her look with a pair of dangling earrings and an elegant bun.

Lady Gaga wore a black dress with sheer elements to it from the Atelier Versace Fall-Winter 2023 collection to this year’s Oscars. The top of the dress consisted of a black sheer base with black corset boning while the skirt of the dress was plain black satin. Lady Gaga finished her look with a heavy eyeshadow look and a bold red lip.

Nicole Kidman stepped out onto the Oscars red carpet in a black sequined Armani Privé gown. Kidman’s dress featured a thigh high slit and two silver sequin 3D flowers at the hip and the shoulder. The dress also had detached white long sleeves that covered most of Kahling’s hand until reaching her fingertips. Actress Rooney Mara wore a white Alexander McQueen dress to the Oscars. Mara’s dress had a ruching pattern on the top with off the shoulder sleeves. The rest of the dress continued the ruching pattern and gathered behind Mara’s ankles in a knot leaving some excess fabric for a small train. Mara’s look was completed with two separate silver necklaces and silver open toe stilettos.

Alton Mason’s Oscars look was bold and had some resemblance to men’s fashion in the 1970s. Mason’s look of a Tom Ford leopard print suit with an open top shirt was accented by a pair of light lens sunglasses and a pair of black suede heeled boots.

The gown, which heavily resembled a wedding dress, was made of a light pink floral lace with long sleeves and featured two cutouts just before Riseborough’s shoulders. Riseborough’s look was finished with a descending silver earring on her left ear.

Alice Rohrwacher went sparkly and bright for her Oscars look. The dress from Prada was covered in big fire engine red sequins that covered the dress starting at the middle of Rohrwacher’s neck all the way down to the floor. The dress also featured a bright red patent leather belt. The Italian actress’ look was completed with a matching red lip and a messy updo.
