Freshmen receive beanies at the beginning of Spirit Week.
Carrying on the tradition for over 50 years, the freshmen class were presented with hats or “beanies” made by their maison seniors Aug. 28. The freshmen are required to wear these beanies all week when not in a classroom. Beanies are used as a tool to make freshmen stand out within the first weeks of school, so that other students can make a point to welcome them and help when needed.
