Mega pop sensation Taylor Swift was spotted in tight-end Travis Kelce’s suite box during the Kansas City Chiefs’ home game Sunday, September 24. Rumors had been floating around of the two celebrities ‘quietly hanging out’ for the past few months, but there had been no evidence of affiliation.
Kelce had previously attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert, and attempted to get in touch with her there, but to no avail.
“”If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them from being there,” Kelce said, according to the New Height’s Podcast. “but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.”
However, after official rumor confirmation, Kansas City swifties have been celebrating the news, and speculating how long the relationship will last.

“I see it working,” Swiftie Charlotte Zender said. “At least for some amount of time. I don’t know, I just feel like they would be good for eachother. I think they balance each other out. He’s just enough of a bad boy for her and she’s just perfect, so I think they look good together.”
Swift fans aren’t the only ones talking over this breakthrough. Sports radio broadcasters, announcers, and commentators also had much to say on the subject. Many of them fangirled over Taylor, and during the game she was a hot topic of discussion.
“Remember, the NFL is an industry that wakes up everyday believing it is the most important enterprise on the earth,” Wall Street Journal sports columnist Jason Gay wrote. “Have you heard how solemnly people onTV talk about the NFL? They act like they’re talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis. And even they could not resist going goo-goo for the Eras Tour queen.”
Kelce scored one touchdown in the third quarter of the game, giving the Chiefs a 41-0 lead on the Chicago Bears. After Kelce ran into the endzone, Swift was seen jumping up and down cheering him on in the suite box above.
“I heard she was in the house,” Chief’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes said, according to ESPN. “I felt a little bit of pressure. I knew I had to get [the ball] to Trav. I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”

After the game, Swift and Kelce were seen leaving together, and driving off in a purple convertible. Later in the evening, sources confirmed Kelce had rented out the entire Prime Social Rooftop in Kansas City for Swift and the team to celebrate.
“I was surprised to find out that they went to a public restaurant together, especially after Taylor just got out of a very private six year relationship,” junior Tessa Lind said. “Also, I thought it was very sweet that Taylor paid for everyone’s food and drinks who was made to leave.”
The two were seen to be partying and dancing late into the night, leaving fans and skeptics to speculate about how this new relationship will go.
“Yeah, I mean she’s a pop star, she’s a tremendous singer, tremendous at everything she does,” Mahomes said, according to ESPN. “I haven’t got to meet her but I guess if she ends up being with Travis then I will probably get to meet her at some point. She seems like a good person. Hopefully I get to meet her one day.”
