I love technology. It’s great. I don’t go anywhere without my beloved iPhone; that makes it easier to connect to things in my life that I love, like Sporting Kansas City. With the 2014 Major League Soccer season rapidly approaching, Sporting KC released a fresh new update to the Sporting Club app. The app was originally released a few seasons back, but the new improvements make it a must have for any fan at the game.

The home page shows the next game on the schedule and the weather at the stadium. The weather is especially crucial for any fan planning on attending the game due to the crazy Kansas weather the stadium often faces.

Swipe over to the side menu and you’ll see plenty gameday, team and venue options. When connected to the stadium’s free wifi, you can re-watch the playback broadcasted on the video board and even watch them in slow motion.

The touch map shows the main positioning of certain players throughout the game, along with the team as a whole. The gamecast displays a timeline of goals, substitutions, and penalties, along with play by play updates.

The Head to Head tab shows the game statistics for both teams. Even the starting lineups for both teams can be accessed on the lineup tab.

The next section of options shows the standings in the league and Sporting KC team roster. The final section is all about Sporting park, including the events at the stadium, map of the field and sections, venue information and directions to the park.

The app revolutionizes the gameday experience, and is a must have for any guest at the stadium, whether a long time season ticket holder or a first time visit.
