It’s safe to say that I absolutely love fall, from the cozy blankets, pumpkin spice lattes, cool fall air, to the huge sweaters and ugg boots. What a match made in heaven is all of these things in Kansas City- because this city has so much to offer in the fall season!
Every year my family goes down to the Louisburg Cider Mill (mostly for the apple cider donuts). We get hot apple cider and run through the corn maze with my cousins. After that we went back to my house to watch the iconic Charlie Brown movie, The Great Pumpkin. If you love roller coasters and are in for a little spook, then you definitely need to take a trip to Worlds of Fun for their Halloween Haunt. I’m not going to lie and say that the first time I went I was scared to death, but I went back and had a blast.! If you are a thrill seeker, make sure to go to the West Bottoms in downtown Kansas City to see five haunted houses that are sure to scare you. Don’t worry though, if that’s not up your alley maybe taking aesthetic fall pictures is. My favorite place to take fall pictures is at loose park when the leaves are starting to change or at the Western Red Barn Farm during sunset.
If you’re looking to have some fall fun at home, there are plenty of activities you can do from the comfort of your own house. Grab the softest blanket you can find a warm cup of tea and snuggle in and watch tons of shows that are sure to get you in the fall mood. My favorite fall shows have to be Gilmore Girls and Vampire Diaries of course. The best fall movies to watch are You’ve got Mail, any of the Harry Potter films, or Knives Out. Or get out your whisk and whipping up some pumpkin muffins. It doesn’t matter how good you are at baking, just grab a friend and find a pumpkin muffin recipe and you’ll have the perfect fall treat in no time!
So grab a Sion Sister, or two or three or fifteen, and head out for some fall fun, and don’t forget your Pumpkin Spice Lattes!
