Aerie recently dropped a ton of new items for their winter collection to celebrate the beginning of holiday season. The new collection includes lots of cozy sweaters and lounge pants, as well as a number of animal print items. Aerie is constantly putting out new clothing and has new clothing drops as often as every week, but what are their products really like? Should you be concerned with how often they produce new items? What does that say about the product quality? Is Aerie really worth your money?
As far as quality of Aerie, there have been a lot of mixed reviews, but recently the quality seems to be in decline. This does not appear to be the case with the winter collection. The Chelsea Jacket is one of the nicest quality products from this collection. It is a medium thickness knit sweater type material that is warm, but not suffocatingly so, and is extremely soft material. Many Aerie sweaters tend to be a little too stretchy and lose their form easily, however this jacket feels like it has a much more robust structure.
The Aerie trouser and wide leg pants are extremely popular items right now. The Off Duty Flannel Trouser are cozy and light to medium thickness, perfect for the chilly fall weather. This pant is an excellent addition to anyone’s fall wardrobe as a piece that can be styled as a casual day-out pant, or can be worn around the house as loungewear. This pant comes in eight different colors and prints, some of them are cute, some of them a little less so. These pants are selling for $45, and though they are a very versatile item, they are not something I will be purchasing. Loungewear pants are just not something I want to spend that much money on.
Overall, the new aerie collection has good quality products, if maybe some of the items are a little expensive. They have certainly heard the complaints of customers and upped their quality for this collection, which may be why the prices are also higher. One tip for anyone looking at buying some of these products might be to wait until Aerie has a sale, which they do often. I will definitely be purchasing some of these items once they are discounted.
