The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a loss against the Houston Texans Sunday, Oct. 13 but still have solidified four wins in the season so far.
With only two losses in the last six games, the Kansas City Chiefs have attracted fans back into the stadium. The upset against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Oct. 13 may have been disappointing with a final loss of 31-24, but many fans are eager for the team to bounce back.
NFL’s reigning MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw three touchdowns on Sunday to add to his growing list of 14 passing touchdowns in the season so far.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill also made his comeback to the field after the NFL debated over whether to suspend him due to accusations of domestic violence. Hill ran in two touchdowns on Sunday, one being a 46-yard pass from Mahomes in the first quarter.
The second touchdown was a 14-yard pass, completed to Damien Williams in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Texans scored three consecutive touchdowns overpowering the Kansas City team the Texans won against the Chiefs.
As the season progresses, according to ESPN, the Kansas City Chiefs currently ranks in 1st place for the American Football Conference in the West. Following last year’s divisional playoff win, fans have high hopes for the team to go even further.
With the next game Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7:20 p.m. against the Denver Broncos being cast nationally, many fans anticipate another “W” for the stat book.
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said at the post-game press conference that changes within the team need to be made following the past two losses.
