Junior Mary Hudak

2020-2021 Student Body President

Q: What were the key concepts in your campaign?

A: One of my main points is that I wanted to knock down a wall in the school. The wall by the stairs, there’s only room for one and a half people to walk through it and you always end up shoving someone. I hate that wall.

Q: This year in your role as junior class president, you brought in a therapy dog day. Are you planning on any other animal features?

A: I want to have the school adopt an emotional support pet for the students. I love therapy dog days, we’re having another one on March 5th, which is great but we need something more permanent.

Q: How would you say your role is going to change from this year to next?

A: It’s definitely going to be a more humorous position. I like humor and I like to take things more seriously, so ‘Joke of the Day’ is coming back. I want to get people more involved with the school, be like ‘yay, Sion!’

Q: This year was your first year on STUCO, what was your favorite part about it, what do you want to bring into next year?

A: I really love the bonding process and being with the community, you really feel like you’re contributing to the community.

2020-2021 Student Body Vice President

Q: What are you planning on doing with the student council next year?

A: I’m excited to be working with Sion and make it a better place for the students.

Q: What do you think is going to be different from this year compared to next year?

A: We’re going to have new people. But also people who have been on student council and know what they’re doing. I think it will be a good mix of people.

Q: What was your favorite part of STUCO this year?

A: My favorite part of being on STUCO was participating in cool traditions like the food for thought skits while also helping our community and making sion a better place for the rest of the girls here

Q: What are you most excited for in student council next year?

A: I’m so excited to take a more active role in everything STUCO does next year. I think a big point is boosting student participation and school spirit.

Q: What do you think is going to be different from this year compared to next?

A: I think boosting school spirit. Mary and Tess and I are going to take everything into a new direction.
